Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Mathbound uses cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies. See also our Privacy Policy.
Essential storage (always used)
These are required for the Service to work. They are stored on your device and do not require optional analytics consent.
- Sign-in flag (
mathbound_signed_in) — remembers that you signed in on this browser. - Progress & preferences (
mathbound_demo_v1) — workouts, mock exams, error log, mastery, streaks, Premium UI, duel state, and room history when signed in (localStorage). Guests use sessionStorage for the current tab session. - Cookie consent (
mathbound_cookie_consent) — records Accept vs Essential only so we do not ask every visit. - Locale (
mathbound_locale) — language preference when set. - Security (2FA) — authenticator settings when you enable demo or cloud two-factor authentication.
- Authentication session — Supabase auth cookies when you use a cloud account.
We do not permanently store this learning progress on our servers. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.
Optional analytics
If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we load Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page views and traffic (for example, total visitors and bounce rate). It does not use advertising cookies. If you choose Essential only, this script is not loaded.
Hosting logs
Vercel processes technical data (including IP addresses) in server logs to deliver and secure the site. This is separate from the optional Web Analytics script above.
Guests
Without signing in, practice may be saved in memory and sessionStorage for the current browser session. We do not store guest progress on our servers.
Admin console
The internal /admin page reads the central platform store — every synced user's exams, workouts, and error log — not just one browser.
Your choices
- Use the cookie banner to accept optional analytics or limit to essential storage only.
- Clear site data in your browser settings at any time.
- Export or delete from Account.
